Welcome to Marlfields Primary School
I warmly welcome you to Marlfields Primary School, a community built on the belief that children are at the centre of everything we do. This is reflected in our long‑standing motto, “where children come first,” which continues to guide our values, decisions and daily practice. We believe that childhood is a precious time, filled with opportunities for wonder, joy and meaningful learning that stays with children long after they leave us. Children who attend Marlfields develop a strong sense of belonging, knowing they are welcomed, understood and supported to grow into the very best version of themselves.
Our staff team is warm, welcoming and genuinely dedicated to every child in our care. They consistently put children first. Each morning, pupils are greeted at the gate with a friendly smile and a positive start to the day, helping them feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
We are proud to have joined the Children First Learning Partnership (CFLP) in April 2025, a Trust of local schools with a strong record of improvement and a shared commitment to placing children at the heart of their work. Becoming part of this partnership strengthens our vision and supports the continued development of our school.
Marlfields is a highly inclusive school, and we are proud to maintain our status as a benchmark school for the Inclusion Quality Mark. We continue to maintain this award each year, demonstrating our commitment to ensuring that every child is welcomed, valued and supported to thrive. Inclusion is woven into the fabric of our school and shapes the way we teach, care for and champion every pupil.
This website will give you a flavour of life at Marlfields Primary School. However, it can only offer a glimpse of the wonderful atmosphere and experiences that make our school so special. If you would like to find out more, I warmly encourage you to come and visit us. We welcome visits, including those made ahead of in‑year applications.

Let's take a look inside!
Situated in the heart of Congleton, our school benefits from extensive grounds, including a large playing field, our own forest school area and a thriving allotment where we grow a variety of plants and vegetables. These spaces are woven into our curriculum, enriching learning through hands‑on experiences. Our large school site also has exceptional facilities, including a food technology kitchen, an art studio, a sensory room, a well‑resourced library and a central quad garden that supports outdoor learning throughout the year.
We are fortunate to have an active PTFA and a strong community spirit that runs throughout the school. We believe that every child should make a positive contribution to our school community, and we offer a wide range of leadership opportunities. Pupils can take on roles such as school councillors, eco‑warriors, reading champions and anti‑bullying ambassadors. Many also engage in Trust‑wide leadership, working alongside children from other schools to influence positive change.
Our children learn in a safe, nurturing environment where they not only achieve academically but also enjoy a broad range of extracurricular clubs, enrichment activities and educational visits that help to foster a lifelong love of learning.
If you require paper copies of any of the information on our school website, we are happy to provide these free of charge, upon request.
